Introduction
Philippines students are awarded with scholarship by the commission on higher education (CHED) each year to increase their research efforts and achieve higher goals of educational life. All the eligible students can apply
from 1st July 2020 to 15st August 2021 (Year 2022 will available soon) as per CHED requirements and details. The goal of this scholarship is to provide assistance to such students who are deserving and cannot meet their financial demands due to high dues and expenses of education.
Requirements for CHED Scholarship
The applicant must have Filipino citizenship and attain 85% marks to get qualified for it.
The net income of guardian should not cross Php 400,000 otherwise he/she must provide medical certificate (if any illness) or the school certificate of two or more dependents.
The special group applicants like disable persons, solo parents or with more dependents should submit certifications or identity cards issued by their respective offices.
Financial Assistance of CHED Scholarship
The CHED scholarship provides assistance to the students for full tuition fee, school fee and stipend annually or semester wise which is released directly to the students. The CHED scholarship is provided fully with 60000 Php annually including Php 40000 stipend and 20000 Php for tuition and school fees. Similarly, half scholars are awarded with 30000 Php annually including 20000 Php stipend and 10000 Php for tuition and school fee. For Government Universities, there is no need to get scholarship for tuition or school fee. So, the full scholars are awarded with 40000Php stipend and half scholars with 20000 annually.

Application Requirements
The applicants must have the following documents:
Verified birth certificate
Report card of last school education as the freshmen are preferred over others
Any single income or financial proof document as discussed above
Procedure to Apply for Scholarship
APPLY ONLINE. No need to go to the CHED Regional Offices.

1. Determine what Region your school belongs to.
2. Click on the link of the corresponding CHED Regional Office (CHEDRO).

Selection Criteria and Award of Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded on merit basis. The scholars are considered with 70% of their academic performance and 30% deserving financial capacities. The special group persons are given 5 extra points as already discussed. After going through the whole procedure, CHED regional offices (CHEDRO) award notice to the applicants or provide the list of awarded candidates to the higher education institution. The applicants sign the award notice and send back to the respective CHEDRO within 30 days including its hard copies.
CHED Scholar Responsibilities
After selection, the scholar is responsible for following things:
Maintain the educational performance percentage of 85% for full scholars and 80% for half scholars
Carry on a regular courses or research load as provided by HEIs
Complete the degree within mentioned time frame
The scholar must have a written proof of respective CHEDRO in case of any transfer to the other HEIs
