DSWD Financial Assistance
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has a legal mandate to develop, manage and implement comprehensive social welfare programs designed to improve living conditions and empower children, youth, women and disadvantaged people. Elderly disabled, families in crisis. Or at risk and communities needing assistance.
DSWD's mandate to provide monitoring and technical assistance to SWD service providers or duty bearers across the country through their Field Offices, program oversight is seen as a way to help them fulfill their respective mandates, as mentioned above, and therefore improve services, target customers in the center and the community, these guidelines.
ELIGIBILITY
In accordance with the eligibility criteria determined by the DSWD, indigenous older people will be entitled to a monthly stipend worth five hundred pesos (Php 500) to increase their daily life and other medical needs. The granting of a social pension will be subject to review by Congress every two (2) years, in consultation with DSWD within three months after the convening of the Conference.

HOW TO CLAIM
Here's the process for getting a DSWD COVID-19 cash grant:
Local government units will provide SAC forms to families from house to house.
The head of household must complete the forms with complete and accurate details as they will be used by DSWD and other relevant government offices to validate all members who are eligible for the cash grant.
Send the forms along with the documents that apply to your classification as a beneficiary of authorized personnel returning home.
Expect further instructions and assistance from the local government unit.
HOW TO APPLY
1. Authorized local government personnel will distribute the Social Mitigation Card (SAC) forms in their respective areas. The distribution will take place from house to house. To repeat, stay home and wait for officers to deliver the forms to your door.
2. The head of the household is the person who will sign and complete all the necessary information on the SAC form. The information must be complete and written in Capital Letters. There will be two copies of the SAC form to be completed.
3. Once completed, send a copy to authorized local government personnel who will collect the forms. Meanwhile, the family should keep the other copy for future reference and monitoring.
4. Once approved, the necessary relief from DSWD and other government agencies, such as the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Labor and Employment, will be distributed through their respective local government unit.
