The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in Western Visayas has set aside funds for workers that have been laid off due to the coronavirus. This is covered under the Bayanihan to Recover As One Act to help with economic recovery.
The office official posted on their Facebook page on how employees that qualify for this act can get help. There are also instructions on how to get financial assistance from the Covid 19 Adjustment Measures Program also known as CAMP.
There was another announcement that was made. The Bacolod City Lone District Representative, Greg Gasataya stated that there were additional funds put aside for the workers in Western Visayas.
In May there were funds asking for additional programs since employees needed cash assistance due to lack of work.
There was another request put in that Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III to provide help to businesses where the workers may not qualify or were not able to get these benefits.

Under the DOLE Department Order, 218-2020 businesses were classified as micro, small, or medium. Some private businesses were not previously categorized. This also counts for businesses that have applied to CAMP before April 15, 2020, and did not receive any type of assistance.
There are also some private establishments that may be able to get some help under this new legislation.

Under Dole 6 a total cash assistance of PHP 127 million will be given to 25,400 works that have been affected by COVID 19 as of July 1.
This financial support is for workers that have been facing economic trouble and may be out of work due to the pandemic.
The aid is released from DOLE and they will send a text message to the participant once their funds are available.
