DSWD Educational Assistance Program 2022 - The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is the Philippine government agency responsible for providing social protection, alleviating poverty, and promoting empowerment and self-sufficiency. One of the ways it does this is through its Educational Assistance Program (EAP), which provides financial assistance to eligible students pursuing tertiary education. The program is open to applicants from households with annual incomes below the poverty line, as well as orphans, solo parents, and students with special needs. In addition to tuition assistance, the DSWD also provides a stipend for books and other school supplies.
